For reference I am 1800 USCF and I just completed Tactics Time 1 and 2. Now I am using 1001 Chess Exercises for Beginners. The course you have will be up next for me once I have completed this cycle twice. Depending on your tactical strength and rating you may want easier.
However, I am going through the dojo materials. I think I will keep with the 1001 for club players as my calculation puzzles and find an easier set for my woodpecker method.
This is very timely for me, as I have musing over feeling I have got to my ceiling with my haphazard approach to chess. I would like to adopt something along these lines, and think the main bit that I am missing is the habits and being consistent with doing the most useful stuff (tactics, games & review)
I think this is very common and you are not alone here. I was like this when I came back to chess as well. There is a wealth of information out there but what to follow? Who to listen to? What is the best answer for each of us? I found the solution is usually quite simple. Keep your plan easy to follow and something you can adhere to for long term. Simple plan with an easy production based goal. Then all you need to do is show up each day and the rest will fall in place.
I am just about to start 1001 Chess Exercises for the Club Player. I would guess I would want a simpler set for one to use the woodpecker method on?

I am WAY below you (1670 chess.com).

I think that’s a great idea. I might recommend Tactics Time 1 for you then. It’s fantastic.
Great post Nick.

The solution does seem quite simple, it is just the consistent application and making sure you don't get sidetracked or fall off the wagon.
