Thank you. That is the plan. Still have a pretty big chess why to accomplish.

There is a phrase in strength training that I think applies here. “It worked so well I stopped doing it.” You’re not alone. Success breeds comfort, which begins the seeds of our downfall (metaphorically). This is one reason why it’s so rare for adults to progress - doing the work, reorienting, and doing more work. Congrats on hitting 1800, no small feat.

Indeed. I think many maybe never realize it and then continue to remain complacent. Not here though. Onto the next chapter. Rising like a Phoenix.

When I am referring to rating point my meaning is OTB (over the board). I do not really concern myself with ratings for online due to the cheating aspect you mentioned. I do not believe losses online are only contributed to cheaters though. My perspective is true and honest. I reached a certain rating. I am now below that rating. Similar to Carlsen who peaked at like 2882 and is now 2837 currently. There is nothing wrong with losing rating. I hope my post did not come across that way. I play chess for fun and enjoyment. I also have goals to reach. Goals help keep people motivated and driven to succeed as well. There is no right or wrong way to dive into chess. My chess why is to prove anyone can become a Master. That is pretty important to me. So chess for me is more than just for fun.

That chess profile tracker is pretty cool. I will have to check it out. Thanks for sharing it.

As for book there are many worth reading. Check out my discord where we discuss such topics. https://discord.gg/PQpWjapMhh

Of course. I’m happy to help. Glad you liked it. Chess is always a struggle and I feel people aren’t talking about the real stuff.
